C’mon 2018.

As we are coming to a wrap here in 2017, we’re reflecting back at all of our bitter sweet moments for the year.

Cherishing the good, learning from the bad, and setting new goals for the new year.

2018 will be the year that is going to be life changing for me. As most of you already know, I’m finally getting married! Hallelujah! I’ve been dragging out this 10 year relationship and 2 year engagement long enough. With that being said, it’s time to settle down and move back home to Texas to be with family.

Goodbye San Francisco & Thank you. I can’t believe this will be my last year living in SF. San francisco has opened so many new opportunities for me. The experiences and memories I gained here have helped me grow as a person and my career.

I fell back into love with nursing. As a young nurse, I really thought nursing wasn’t for me after I graduated college.  I worked for a year in Texas (cardiac telemetry), and I didn’t hate it but didn’t love it either. Ever since I moved to SF, work has become easier than ever before. This doesn’t sound like me, but I actually look forward to coming into work sometimes. The people you work with will make a world of a difference. And I would have to say that I finally found a specialty (liver & kidney transplant) that I am interested in. Although I mostly deal with code brown on the daily, it doesn’t phase me. I’ve seen first hand patients at their worst & the miracles of science and medicine. So thank you to my nightshift family for making work bearable. I will miss you all!

I launched my blog. Yay me! Never have I ever thought I would go into blogging. I really don’t consider myself a full-time blogger because I don’t write a whole lot & I actually hate writing. And I can tell you now I spent all morning writing this blog post, hence… this is why I never update my website. Lol. But I really do enjoying creating the visual side of blogging. I would have to say my photos have improved significantly over that last few years, and I am still learning to make it better everyday.

I am grateful for all the strangers I met through instagram that I now call friends. And all the small to big brands I’ve worked with this past year. So cheers to the new friendships and brand relationships I’ve made, and here’s to many more in 2018 wherever I am!

2017, you’ve been great! Let’s make 2018 better.

  1. Awww, I’m so glad that I met you and also so sad that you’ll be leaving California soon! :'( But of course, we all have our own separate lives outside of Instagram and must make the move if we have to! I’m so grateful and blessed to have met you, and I definitely know we’ll keep in touch via the chatroom we have 😉 Happy New Year’s babe and I’m glad to have spent mine with you in 2017! <3

  2. I’ll forever remember your emotional moment from last night – you got all of us tearing up! I’m super glad that we met through Instagram, and like Michelle said, so sad that you’ll be leaving CA this year 🙁 You’re such a great friend to me, so you know I will be coming to visit you! Cheers to another great year ahead and our growing friendship 🙂 Happy New Year love!
